Gadchiroli to host inauguration of University Institute of Technology on Dec 27

Gadchiroli: The University Institute of Technology (UIT), established under a Public–Private Partnership (PPP) between Gondwana University and Lloyds Metals & Energy Limited, will be formally inaugurated on December 27 at Adapalli near Gadchiroli. The inauguration ceremony will be held at 3.30 pm and will be presided over by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Minister of State for Finance, Planning, Agriculture, Relief and Rehabilitation, Law and Judiciary, and Labour, and Guardian Minister of Gadchiroli district, Ashish Jaiswal, will attend the function as the chief guest. The event will also be graced by Gondwana University Vice-Chancellor Dr Prashant Bokare and Managing Director of Lloyds Metals & Energy Limited, Balasubramaniam Prabhakaran, as special guests. Among other dignitaries expected to be present are MPs Dr Namdev Kirsan and Pratibha Dhanorkar; MLAs Abhijit Vanjari, Sudhakar Adbale, Sudhir Mungantiwar, Vijay Wadettiwar, Dharmaraobaba Atram, Kirtikumar Bhangdiya, Kishor Jorgewal, Ramdas Masram, Devrao Bhongale, Karan Devtalé and Dr Milind Narote; District Collector Avishant Panda; Superintendent of Police Neelotpal; Lieutenant Colonel Vikram Mehta of Lloyds Metals & Energy Limited; Executive Director Venkatesh Soundararajan; and Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr Shriram Kavale. The University Institute of Technology aims to strengthen technical skill education and provide global exposure to students from Gadchiroli, one of Maharashtra’s most backward districts. Through similar initiatives, several youths have already been placed in national and international opportunities. The institute is expected to play a crucial role in nurturing skilled and employable talent from the region. Gondwana University Registrar Dr Anil Hirekhan and University Director and UIT In-charge Director Prof Manish Uttarwar have appealed to citizens to attend the inauguration ceremony at Adapalli, near the district headquarters, and be part of this landmark initiative in higher and technical education.
